A real business journey from a cake shop in Hinjewadi to CravingPOS in 2026.
CravingPOS did not begin as a software idea. It began on the shop floor, at the counter, in the kitchen, during delivery coordination, through event pressure, and across years of learning what it really takes to run a small business well.
We lived the chaos before we built the solution.
From 2010 onward, we were not just selling cakes and cafe experiences. We were learning how staff coordination breaks down, how follow-ups get missed, how delivery promises become stressful, how custom orders create confusion, how stock and materials leak margin, and how founders lose personal time while trying to hold everything together.
Over the years, we kept documenting those pain points, solving them one by one in the real world, and building better ways to run the business. CravingPOS was born from that lived experience, not from theory.
Retail, custom orders, delivery, catering, production, staff management, accounting discipline and customer relationships all shaped the product thinking behind CravingPOS.
The journey that turned daily small-business pain points into a practical operating system.
We opened a physical cake shop and cafe in Hinjewadi Phase 1
The journey began with a real storefront, real customers, walk-ins, birthdays, celebrations and the daily rhythm of serving people who wanted memorable food experiences, not just products.
The counter became our first operations classroom
We learned how quickly small mistakes create customer dissatisfaction: missing notes, unclear customization requests, inconsistent staff handoffs and after-hours follow-up gaps.
Custom cakes taught us the cost of manual coordination
Every special cake order revealed the same friction points: collecting design details, confirming flavour and quantity, aligning expectations, and making sure nothing got lost between customer, manager and kitchen.
We expanded deeper into events and celebration orders
As birthdays, corporate events and large orders increased, the business needed stronger quoting, approval, scheduling and delivery discipline. The gaps in small-business tooling became even more visible.
Delivery and fulfilment raised the stakes
Now timing mattered more than ever. Location coordination, order readiness, packaging, delivery tracking and customer communication all had to work together. The pain of scattered tools became impossible to ignore.
Catering added another layer of operational complexity
Bulk orders, event fulfilment, production planning, staff coordination and customer communication created a more complex business model. We needed better workflow thinking, not more manual patches.
We began documenting every recurring pain point in detail
Instead of accepting daily stress as normal, we started writing down where time was being lost: stock visibility, material planning, customer follow-up, payment tracking, team accountability and process breakdowns.
We set up our own bakery base products factory
Production moved beyond the shop floor into a more structured supply model. This made inventory, material consumption, consistency and planning even more important, and pushed us to think in systems, not shortcuts.
The solution started taking shape from real-world lessons
By this point, we had years of practical business insight across retail, cafe service, delivery, catering, production and customer management. The blueprint for CravingPOS was becoming clear.
We expanded near Balewadi and pressure-tested the model further
A new location meant more complexity, more staff coordination, more operational repetition and more proof that small businesses need better software designed around how they actually run.
CravingPOS was born from lived business experience
CravingPOS became the product expression of that entire journey: a practical AI-powered POS, automation and business operations platform built to solve the daily reality of small and growing businesses from the inside out.
We are not guessing what business owners go through. We built this after living it.
That is why CravingPOS focuses on real bottlenecks: follow-ups, workflow breakdowns, staff coordination, accounting discipline, stock visibility, delivery stress, customer experience and the founder’s need for more peace of mind as the business grows.
